Effective date: October 8, 2026
Service provider: S3Detailing (“S3,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
Contact: 910-839-5766 | https://www.s3detailing.com
1. Scope and application
These Terms govern detailing, cleaning, polishing, paint and gelcoat correction, protective treatments, ceramic coatings, odor treatments, restoration, and related services supplied by S3 for automobiles, trucks, vans, boats, personal watercraft, recreational vehicles, trailers, and other property identified in an accepted service order. They apply to mobile appointments, shop appointments, authorized pickup and drop-off services, and commercial or fleet work unless a separately signed agreement expressly provides otherwise.
“Customer,” “you,” and “your” mean the person or entity purchasing the service. “Property” means the vehicle, vessel, RV, trailer, components, or other items accepted for service. “Service order” means the agreed estimate, package description, booking confirmation, work authorization, and approved changes for your appointment.
These Terms apply only to the contracting service provider identified above. A separately owned location must identify its actual contracting entity. Exterior building cleaning and power washing are covered only by a separate agreement that expressly includes those services.
2. Agreement and affirmative acceptance
Before confirming a booking, we provide these Terms or a link to them and request your affirmative acceptance. You may accept through a booking checkbox, electronic signature, or written reply confirming that you have read and agree to the identified version. A deposit payment may evidence acceptance when the payment request clearly identifies these Terms and states that payment confirms agreement, subject to applicable law.
Merely visiting our website does not authorize services, payment, marketing, or acceptance of these Terms. You may request a copy before booking. We retain the version accepted for your transaction. A change posted later does not retroactively alter an existing booking without agreement.
The approved service order controls specific scope, price, and scheduling terms where it expressly differs from these Terms. A separately signed agreement controls over both. Mandatory law controls over any inconsistent provision. Statements about possible results are not guarantees unless expressly incorporated into a written service commitment.
3. Ownership and authority
You represent that you own the Property or have permission from its owner to purchase the service and authorize the necessary access. If the Property is leased, rented, financed, jointly owned, employer-owned, or subject to a marina or storage agreement, you are responsible for obtaining approvals required by that relationship.
A person acting for a business represents that they have authority to bind that business. Acting for a business does not, by itself, create a personal guaranty. Gift appointments require permission from the person who can authorize access and service; payment by a third party does not replace that permission.
You must disclose restrictions concerning movement, chemicals, coatings, warranty requirements, access, alarms, keys, or particular surfaces before work begins. S3 may request proof of authority or decline work when authority is uncertain.
4. Estimates, inspection, and condition-based pricing
An estimate based on a description, length, photographs, or online selection is subject to inspection. Unless expressly described as a fixed price, estimates assume average condition for the selected service and accurate information about size, seating, contamination, access, and material type.
Passenger vans, oversized trucks, heavily soiled vehicles, marine cabins, extensive pet hair, severe stains, sand, adhesive, mold-like growth, biological material, and difficult access can require additional labor or specialized work. Per-foot pricing uses the measurement identified in the quote. Platforms, towers, cabins, multiple levels, additional equipment, and unusual configurations are included only if expressly listed.
If inspection reveals a material difference, we explain the revised scope and price and obtain approval before extra chargeable work. You may decline the additional work. We may then complete only the safe original scope, agree on a reduced service, reschedule, or stop work. We do not treat your silence as approval for additional charges.
Taxes, approved travel charges, access equipment, add-ons, and legally permitted payment charges are additional unless the service order states they are included. An obvious pricing error will be brought to your attention before service; we will not substitute a higher price without agreement.
Undisclosed or materially misrepresented condition
You must accurately disclose known pet hair, excessive sand or debris, significant staining, odors, biological material, infestations, mold-like growth, adhesive, oxidation, sensitive finishes, and other conditions relevant to the requested service. An honest difference in assessment is not automatically intentional concealment.
If a technician or manager reasonably determines from observed conditions that material information was withheld or the Property materially differs from the booking description, that technician or manager has authority to pause or decline work, document the discrepancy, reassess the condition grade, withdraw an estimate based on inaccurate information, and propose a revised scope and price. The assessment may occur before work or when concealed conditions become visible during work. The revised price may reflect additional labor, specialized products, protective equipment, safe disposal, and necessary access equipment, supported by disclosed rates or a specific quote.
Additional charges require your express approval before the additional work is performed. Approval may be recorded in a written message, signed change order, or another legally valid authorization identifying the scope and price. An advance labor allowance is effective only if you separately approve a stated rate and maximum amount. S3 will stop and request renewed approval before exceeding that maximum. Staff judgment about condition alone is not unlimited payment authorization.
If you decline or cannot be reached, S3 may complete only the original safe, achievable scope or stop and arrange a revised appointment. If a material customer misrepresentation or failure to disclose a known hazard makes the booked service impossible or unsafe, the cancellation policy in Section 7 may apply, subject to law. Discovery of an unknown hidden defect, or disagreement with an upsell where the original service remains safely achievable, does not automatically trigger deposit forfeiture. Authorized completed work remains chargeable, with deposits credited or allocated once and no duplicate recovery. No unapproved hazard cleanup or arbitrary surcharge is imposed.
5. Packages, exclusions, and substitutions
The package description accepted at booking determines what is included. A full detail is a cleaning and protection service, not a promise that every defect will be removed or that the Property will be restored to new condition.
Unless specifically included, standard detailing does not include seat shampoo and extraction, headliner treatment, pet hair removal, severe odor remediation, biological cleanup, engine detailing, paint correction, oxidation correction, wet sanding, ceramic coating, PPF or wrap removal, extensive adhesive removal, disassembly, mechanical repair, upholstery repair, repainting, or structural restoration.
For marine work, compartments, hatches, bilges, engine spaces, berth or cabin areas, underwater hull work, and heavy oxidation removal are excluded unless listed. For RV work, roof cleaning and protection, awnings, slide-out roofs, undercarriage cleaning, interior appliances, holding tanks, and roof repairs are excluded unless listed.
We may use an equivalent suitable product or method when needed for the substrate or conditions, provided it does not materially reduce the agreed service or replace an expressly promised branded coating without your approval. Unless separately agreed, we supply our own professional products and equipment and do not provide labor-only work using customer-supplied materials.
6. Booking and deposits
A standard deposit of 20% of the quoted service total is required to confirm an appointment unless a different written arrangement applies. A requested time remains tentative until we confirm the booking and receive the required deposit. The deposit is credited toward the final amount due.
The deposit is non-refundable when you cancel, fail to attend, fail to provide the agreed access, or otherwise prevent performance, except where applicable law requires a refund or these Terms expressly provide one. It compensates S3 for reserving service capacity and associated preparation, subject to applicable limits on enforceable cancellation charges.
With at least 48 hours’ notice, we will transfer the deposit to a mutually agreed replacement appointment for the same service rather than refund it. A transferred deposit remains subject to these Terms. Any different notice period for a specialized or commercial booking must be clearly disclosed and accepted before the deposit is paid.
If S3 cancels and cannot offer a reasonably acceptable replacement, you may choose a refund of the deposit for unperformed work or a credit. A mandatory cancellation or refund right takes precedence over the non-refundable policy. Calling a payment a deposit does not eliminate rights provided by law.
7. Customer cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows
Give at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment start time to cancel or reschedule. For a cancellation or rescheduling request made with less than 48 hours’ notice, a no-show, or an appointment we cannot perform because agreed customer requirements were not met, the cancellation charge is forfeiture of the booking deposit if a deposit was paid, or $40 if no deposit was paid. We do not impose both charges for the same cancellation. This policy applies only to the extent permitted by law.
Cancellation requests must be sent to 910-839-5766 or through the booking channel identified in your confirmation. Keep the message or confirmation for your records. A clear, timely request received through that channel counts even if staff acknowledgment occurs later. A social media comment or message to an unrelated account may not reach scheduling staff.
An appointment may be treated as a no-show if neither the Property nor an authorized contact is available within 15 minutes after the confirmed arrival or appointment time and we cannot resolve access. We will make a reasonable attempt to contact you before leaving.
The deposit forfeiture or $40 fee applies subject to applicable law and without duplicating recovery for the same loss. A forfeited deposit is applied toward the cancellation charge, not added to a separate $40 fee. We will reduce or credit a charge when required to prevent an unlawful penalty or excessive recovery. Payment for completed, separately authorized work remains payable, with proper credits and no double billing. The cancellation policy is disclosed before booking and does not authorize charging a stored card without appropriate payment authorization.
8. Weather, delays, and S3 rescheduling
Mobile detailing and marine services depend on safe conditions. Rain, lightning, wind, excessive heat or cold, tides, humidity, inadequate lighting, and unsuitable curing conditions may require changes. Staff illness, equipment failure, access restrictions, and delays on an earlier appointment may also affect arrival.
We will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably practical. Arrival and completion times are estimates unless we expressly accept a firm time commitment. We do not guarantee that a service will be completed by a flight, sale, trip, event, or other deadline unless that commitment is separately agreed in writing.
If S3 changes the appointment because of weather, staffing, or equipment, we will not assess a customer cancellation fee for that change. Deposits transfer to the replacement booking. If no reasonably acceptable replacement can be arranged, the unused deposit is refundable. These provisions do not excuse liability that applicable law requires S3 to bear.
9. Mobile water, electricity, and worksite requirements
For mobile service, you must supply access to a working water spigot and a safe standard electrical outlet suitable for the agreed equipment. S3 does not supply water or power unless a separate written arrangement expressly states otherwise.
Water access must be permitted and usable, and electrical access must be safe and appropriately protected. Tell us about water restrictions, well limitations, non-potable water, shared utilities, breaker issues, locked access, or HOA rules. We may stop if utilities are unavailable or unsafe. We will not bypass protective devices or use an unsafe connection.
Provide enough reasonably level, stable space to work safely, open doors, operate equipment, and manage hoses. Obtain required permission from a landlord, HOA, parking operator, marina, or storage facility. S3 may decline curbside work, traffic-exposed areas, enclosed spaces without adequate ventilation, or locations where runoff cannot be handled lawfully.
Additional travel, parking, utility, or setup charges require disclosure and approval. Customer utility use inherent in the agreed mobile service is your responsibility. S3 remains responsible for its own negligent use of the worksite or utilities to the extent required by law.
10. Personal property, valuables, and safety
Remove cash, jewelry, electronics, firearms, ammunition, medications, documents, toll devices, fragile decorations, and other valuables before service. Empty the areas you want cleaned. Personal belongings may prevent access and limit the result. We do not independently authorize disposal of belongings simply because they appear inexpensive or unwanted.
Secure pets and keep children, guests, and other persons away from the work area, chemicals, hoses, equipment, wet floors, ladders, and boatside access. Tell us about needles, sharp objects, weapons, pests, or hazardous material. We may stop work immediately when an undisclosed hazard is found.
We do not inventory every item left in the Property. We are not responsible for loss caused solely by your failure to remove or secure items, but this provision does not excuse loss caused by S3’s negligence or intentional misconduct.
Child safety seats and restraint systems must be removed and reinstalled by the customer or another qualified person. Unless separately authorized with an appropriate manufacturer-approved procedure, we do not remove, reinstall, adjust, or certify child restraints, belts, airbags, or safety systems.
11. Keys, unattended access, and movement
Provide clear instructions for keys, entry codes, alarms, and access. A customer-selected unattended key location carries risks, and we may reject an insecure arrangement. S3 is responsible for reasonable care of keys once accepted into our custody.
You authorize necessary limited movement of the Property within the agreed worksite only when you provide keys and permission and a qualified S3 operator determines that movement is safe. This is not blanket permission to transport, tow, launch, sea-trial, or operate the Property offsite.
Disclose unusual starting procedures, brake or steering issues, immobilizers, battery problems, modifications, clearance limits, and other operating hazards. We may require the customer to move the Property. Remote vehicle controls, tracking, or locking must not interfere with authorized work.
After-hours drop-off or pickup must be expressly arranged. Do not leave Property at an unapproved location. Responsibility during unattended handoff depends on the agreed arrangement, actual custody, and applicable law.
12. Pickup and drop-off transport
Pickup and drop-off are separate services requiring specific approval of the route, handoff, driver access, and charge. You must disclose whether the vehicle is safely operable, registered, and otherwise lawful to drive. S3 may refuse unsafe transport or require a separately arranged tow.
We document the handoff and use reasonable care during authorized transport. Ordinary travel adds mileage and may use fuel. You are responsible for pre-existing mechanical or electrical faults; S3 is responsible for damage caused by its negligence as required by law.
Transportation authorization does not permit personal use. We do not guarantee coverage under your insurance or ours for a particular event through these Terms. Insurance responsibilities and limitations must be verified separately where needed. Toll or parking charges related to the agreed route must be disclosed or supported by actual charges.
13. Pre-service condition and disclosure
Tell us about prior repairs, repainted panels, failing clear coat, thin paint or gelcoat, ceramic coatings, wraps, PPF, tint, aftermarket wiring, loose trim, cracks, leaks, damaged seals, brittle plastics, material sensitivities, and existing water intrusion. Identify known issues even if they appear unrelated to detailing.
We may photograph and note visible condition before, during, and after work. An inspection is not a mechanical survey, marine survey, appraisal, paint-thickness guarantee, or exhaustive inventory of defects. Dirt, oxidation, poor lighting, and inaccessible areas can conceal damage.
Cleaning may reveal scratches, chips, fading, staining, corrosion, repairs, and deterioration previously obscured by contamination. Newly visible damage is not automatically newly caused damage. Equally, lack of a pre-service photograph does not automatically disprove a customer’s claim. Claims are evaluated using available evidence.
We may recommend a test area, less aggressive method, revised scope, or referral when a surface appears unstable. We may decline work that cannot be performed with reasonable care.
14. General results and surface limitations
We use reasonable professional care consistent with the agreed service. Results depend on age, condition, substrate, prior care, and severity of contamination. Permanent staining, etching, dye loss, scratches, embedded pet hair, mineral deposits, corrosion, and damage may remain.
A realistic improvement is not a guarantee of complete removal. We may stop treatment when further work risks damage or exceeds the authorized scope. Extra labor does not guarantee a particular outcome. Reference images, before-and-after examples, and marketing photographs illustrate possible results and do not establish the result for every Property.
Cleaning and protection do not repair mechanical defects, eliminate all allergens, certify sanitation, establish seaworthiness, or make damaged surfaces structurally sound. We do not promise sterilization or medical-grade disinfection unless a separately defined service expressly and lawfully provides it.
15. Upholstery, carpets, leather, and headliners
Shampooing, extraction, and steam treatments may leave moisture. Drying time depends on fabric, padding, temperature, ventilation, and humidity. You must follow drying instructions and avoid sealing damp upholstery in an unventilated vehicle. We will communicate material drying concerns before handoff.
Old spills may wick back to the surface as material dries. Dyes may be unstable, padding may retain odor, and adhesives or foam may already be degraded. We assess and treat reasonably, but permanent discoloration, worn fabric, damaged leather coatings, and dye transfer may remain.
Headliners, sunroof shades, glued fabrics, perforated leather, ventilated seats, and older materials require particular care. Headliner treatment is not included unless listed. We may limit moisture or decline extraction where adhesives, electronics, or materials are vulnerable.
Seat removal, electronic disconnection, and structural disassembly are not included unless separately authorized. No service promises to restore leather color, replace missing finish, or repair tears unless a specific restoration service says so.
16. Odors, ozone, and contamination
Standard deodorizing is not a guarantee of permanent odor elimination. Smoke, pet contamination, old spills, moisture, HVAC contamination, leaks, and mold-like growth can originate beyond accessible surfaces. Odor may return when an underlying cause remains.
Ozone or other specialized odor treatment requires specific service authorization and suitable conditions. People, pets, and other living occupants must stay out during treatment and until we communicate that ventilation and re-entry procedures are complete. Customers must not enter early or operate equipment. We use the equipment manufacturer’s operating and ventilation requirements and do not describe ozone as harmless or universally safe for every material.
Ozone is not a replacement for removing a contamination source or repairing a leak. Certain materials and electronics may be unsuitable for exposure. We may decline treatment or recommend a specialist. No fixed outcome is promised merely because treatment has been purchased.
Blood, vomit, feces, urine, sharps, infestations, significant mold-like growth, and chemical spills must be disclosed before booking. Specialized cleaning is separately quoted and may be refused. S3 is not a licensed mold assessor or remediation contractor unless separately identified and contracted as such. We do not certify that a contaminated space is safe for medically sensitive use.
17. Paint correction, gelcoat correction, and polishing
Machine polishing and correction may remove a small amount of surface material. Existing finish thickness, previous correction, repaints, edges, body lines, and hidden repairs can limit safe treatment. We may use measurements or test spots where appropriate, but measurements do not reveal every defect or eliminate risk.
A one-stage polish does not equal multi-stage correction or wet sanding. Deep defects may remain because removing them would risk the finish. Any percentage estimate of defect improvement is approximate unless supported by an express written guarantee. We do not promise that correction will prevent future scratches, oxidation, or staining.
Wet sanding, aggressive compounding, repair-area treatment, and severely degraded finishes require specific authorization. We may exclude unstable areas. We remain responsible for reasonable care; acknowledging inherent risks does not excuse careless technique or create a release for S3-caused damage.
18. Adhesive, decals, wraps, PPF, tint, and trim
Removing decals, logos, wraps, PPF, badges, or adhesive can reveal ghosting, differential fading, oxidation, paint mismatch, etching, and outline marks. These may be permanent and may require correction or refinishing beyond the removal service.
Aged films and adhesives can fracture or require additional time. Repainted, damaged, or poorly bonded finishes can be vulnerable. We will seek approval before materially increasing labor or proceeding with a known material risk. Removal is not a guarantee that the underlying finish will match adjoining surfaces.
We do not replace graphics, badges, film, clips, tint, or trim unless included in writing. Restoration dressings may improve appearance temporarily but do not repair brittle or failing components. Products can weather unevenly when surfaces differ in condition.
19. Sealants, waxes, ceramic coatings, and warranties
A stated protection period describes the product or package represented in the service order under applicable care and use conditions. Actual performance depends on preparation, substrate, climate, outdoor storage, washing methods, mileage, salt exposure, abrasion, chemicals, and maintenance.
Coatings do not make a surface scratch-proof, rock-chip-proof, water-spot-proof, corrosion-proof, or maintenance-free. They do not eliminate washing or protect every untreated component. Temporary water behavior is not, by itself, a complete measure of coating condition.
Follow curing and maintenance instructions, including any restriction on water exposure, chemicals, automatic washes, or abrasion. Notify us promptly of an apparent application issue. Work by another provider, harsh chemicals, polishing, collision repair, or physical damage may affect protection; such events do not automatically eliminate unrelated rights.
Manufacturer warranties, registration requirements, inspection schedules, maintenance charges, exclusions, and remedies apply only when supplied and identified for the purchased product. S3 does not invent or expand a manufacturer warranty. Any separate S3 workmanship warranty must be stated in writing. Mandatory statutory warranties and remedies are not excluded.
20. Marine access, docks, lifts, and vessel systems
You must arrange marina permission, safe dock or slip access, water, power, and reasonable access to the surfaces included in the quote. Tell us whether the vessel is on a trailer, lift, in a slip, or otherwise restricted. Access to one side does not imply access to the other.
If a floating work dock is needed, the current charge is $5 per foot when disclosed and approved in the service order. We may include that charge when access is expected to require it and remove it if the equipment is not used or needed. Other lift, haul-out, marina, or access fees require separate disclosure.
Neighboring slips, docks, and boats may be used only with required permission. You are responsible for obtaining permission you agree to provide. S3 will not assume permission simply because a slip appears vacant.
You or an authorized qualified operator must handle vessel repositioning, mooring changes, lift operation, shore-power changes, launching, and engine operation unless we separately agree to a defined task. S3 may refuse work from an unstable lift, unsuitable ladder, unsafe dock, or inaccessible platform.
Disclose leaking hatches, compromised fittings, damaged seals, corroded hardware, weak gelcoat, electrical concerns, fuel leaks, and unstable rails. Secure loose equipment. Cleaning around marine systems does not constitute a safety inspection or repair. Underwater hull cleaning, diving, antifouling paint work, and environmental discharge activities are excluded unless expressly and lawfully contracted.
21. RVs, roofs, awnings, and trailers
RV surfaces may include gelcoat, painted panels, aluminum, vinyl graphics, rubber or membrane roofs, acrylic windows, sealants, and aftermarket components. Disclose known leaks, failed seams, delamination, loose decals, brittle plastics, and manufacturer restrictions.
An exterior wash and wax does not include the roof unless listed. Roof access and treatment depend on safe conditions and the manufacturer’s access requirements. S3 may refuse to walk a roof or use a ladder where structural condition is uncertain. Roof cleaning is not a leak inspection, resealing service, or certification of roof integrity.
You must arrange safe extension and retraction of slides and awnings when needed. Awning staining and weathering may remain. Tell us about fragile seams or fabric. Cleaning does not repair sealant failure, delamination, graphics deterioration, or hidden moisture damage.
RV interior work covers only the listed areas. Tanks, waste systems, appliance repair, pest treatment, and deep cabin storage are excluded unless separately described. Secure loose items and disconnect or protect systems as instructed.
22. Engine bays, electronics, aftermarket equipment, and water intrusion
Engine bay detailing, sensitive electronic areas, aftermarket sound systems, cameras, wiring, screens, and open connectors require disclosure and separate scope where applicable. We may limit wet cleaning or decline it when seals, wiring, or components appear compromised.
Standard cleaning does not include removal of modules, diagnosis of warning lights, battery repair, or resetting electronics. Pre-existing faults may become evident during normal access or movement. You should report any new symptom promptly so the circumstances can be reviewed.
S3 does not assume responsibility for unrelated mechanical or electronic failure. S3 remains responsible for damage caused by its failure to exercise reasonable care. Pressure washing is not authorized indiscriminately around vulnerable seals, electrical components, air intakes, or defective surfaces.
23. Commercial and fleet appointments
Commercial bookings must identify an authorized contact, vehicle or vessel list, access arrangements, billing entity, and approval limits. Each Property is assessed individually even when booked as a group. Multi-unit discounts apply only under the agreed offer conditions.
Purchase orders, insurance documentation, facility orientation, escort requirements, and vendor approvals must be arranged before the appointment. Waiting time or a minimum visit charge applies only if specifically quoted and accepted. S3 is not bound by terms placed later on an unaccepted purchase order.
Net payment terms require written approval. Otherwise the standard deposit and completion-payment policy apply. No employee or contractor is personally liable for a corporate bill merely because they coordinate the appointment unless a separate valid guaranty exists.
24. Completion, inspection, and payment
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the agreed service unless written credit terms apply. Inspect the Property with us when practical. If you cannot attend, we may send completion photographs or a work summary. Your absence does not eliminate payment for completed authorized work or waive a legitimate claim.
Prices do not include applicable tax unless stated. Tips are optional. Cash, Zelle, ACH, and other expressly accepted methods may be available. Checks are accepted only when approved for the booking. A check or transfer must clear to discharge the payment obligation.
Any card surcharge must be separately disclosed before payment and comply with applicable law, card-network rules, and processor limits. Debit and prepaid cards will not be surcharged where prohibited. The actual permitted charge shown before payment controls; these Terms do not authorize a blanket percentage that exceeds a legal or network limit.
We will obtain any necessary authorization before charging a stored payment method. Agreeing to these Terms alone does not create unlimited authorization for future charges. We will explain an amount you reasonably question and provide an itemized statement on request.
25. Unpaid balances, returned payments, and collections
If payment is overdue, we may send reminders, suspend future service, and pursue lawful collection, including a licensed collection provider or court action where appropriate. We will not misrepresent the debt, threaten unlawful action, disclose it improperly, or use harassment.
Interest, late fees, returned-payment charges, attorney fees, and collection expenses are recoverable only when separately and validly agreed where required and legally permitted. These Terms do not impose an automatic collection percentage or make you liable for every cost we choose to incur. Required notices, cure periods, and statutory limits apply.
Undisputed amounts remain payable while a concern is reviewed, subject to applicable rights to withhold or dispute payment. We do not prohibit lawful chargebacks or disputes. We may submit accurate booking, authorization, and completion records to a payment provider to respond to a dispute.
These Terms do not authorize self-help seizure, automatic ownership transfer, sale of Property, or a lien that applicable law does not provide. Any retention, lien, towing, storage, or disposal process must have an independent lawful basis and comply with required notice and procedures.
26. Pickup after shop service and storage
Pick up shop-serviced Property at the agreed time after completion. Notify us if you need a different arrangement. Storage charges apply only if a specific rate and grace period are disclosed and accepted before accrual; no storage rate is created by this page alone.
We may contact you to arrange overdue pickup. We will handle any unclaimed Property through applicable legal procedures rather than treating a missed pickup date as abandonment or transfer of ownership. Outdoor storage, if contemplated, must be disclosed. S3 uses reasonable care while Property remains in its custody.
27. Workmanship concerns and 72-hour touch-ups
Report missed areas, residue, or other ordinary workmanship concerns within 72 hours after completion to request a no-charge touch-up review. Send a description and identify the affected area. Photographs may be supplied if convenient, but you may request an in-person review.
A covered touch-up addresses an area included in the purchased service that was not completed to the agreed standard. New dirt, new spills, new pet hair, subsequent use, environmental exposure, permanent defects, excluded areas, and additional services are not included in the complimentary touch-up policy.
We will arrange a reasonable inspection and, where warranted, correction at no additional charge. Work that creates a material safety or damage concern may require a different remedy. A refund, partial refund, re-service, repair contribution, or other resolution will depend on the facts, contract, and applicable law.
The 72-hour period governs the complimentary routine touch-up offer only. It is not a shortened legal limitation period, a waiver of latent damage claims, or an automatic release of liability. We do not require a positive review or removal of a truthful review as a condition of a remedy.
28. Damage reports and evidence preservation
Report suspected service-related damage as soon as reasonably practical. Describe when it was noticed, the affected area, and any relevant circumstances. Stop using a system if continued use may worsen damage or create danger.
Allow a reasonable opportunity for inspection when practical before non-emergency repair. Preserve photographs, receipts, parts, and estimates if available. Necessary emergency measures to protect safety or prevent further damage should not be delayed; document them when reasonably possible.
We may review condition records, methods used, timing, third-party work, and independent estimates, and involve our insurer where appropriate. An investigation is not an admission or denial of liability. Failure to notify within 72 hours does not automatically defeat a valid damage claim.
You must take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary additional loss, as required by applicable law. We will not require a release of unrelated rights merely to inspect a claim.
29. Allocation of responsibility and limited liability
S3 is not responsible for pre-existing defects, ordinary wear, hidden failure, customer-supplied inaccurate information, third-party acts, or events outside its reasonable control except to the extent S3 caused or contributed to the loss through legally actionable conduct.
To the extent applicable law permits, S3 is not liable for indirect or consequential economic losses arising from service, such as lost profits, lost business opportunities, missed travel, substitute rentals, or loss of use. This exclusion does not apply where law prohibits it or to losses caused by S3’s gross negligence, recklessness, intentional misconduct, or other conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing in these Terms releases S3 from responsibility for damage caused by its own negligence where such a release would be invalid. No liability cap tied to the service price applies to physical damage to your Property under these Terms. Mandatory consumer remedies, recoverable statutory damages, and non-waivable rights remain available.
Acknowledging an inherent service risk is not an admission that every resulting defect was unavoidable. Responsibility depends on causation, reasonable care, the agreed service, and governing law.
30. Customer breach and third-party claims
You are responsible for actual loss caused by your material misrepresentation of authority, knowing failure to disclose a dangerous condition, or unauthorized instructions that cause harm. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse S3 for reasonable documented losses from third-party claims caused by those acts, in proportion to your responsibility.
This obligation does not cover S3’s negligence, intentional misconduct, unlawful practices, or responsibility belonging to S3. It is not a requirement that a consumer defend every claim made against the business. We will provide reasonable notice and cooperate on an appropriate response; no settlement imposing an admission or new obligation on you will be accepted on your behalf without your consent.
31. Photography, records, and marketing permission
We may make reasonable photographs or recordings of the Property and work area to document condition, access, service, and claims. We avoid recording unnecessary personal information and do not intentionally access private files, infotainment accounts, devices, or unrelated customer records.
Service documentation may be used for internal training, claim handling, and legitimate business administration with appropriate protections. Public advertising use requires separate permission. Booking a service does not automatically grant unrestricted marketing rights to images of you, your address, identifiable personal belongings, license plates, vessel identifiers, or private worksite details.
When you authorize marketing images, we will use the scope of that permission and reasonable privacy measures. You may withdraw permission for future use by contacting us; completed lawful publications may not be fully retractable. Customer reviews remain the customer’s expression and are not transferred to S3 by these Terms.
32. Customer information and service communications
We use booking and service information to schedule work, process payment, maintain records, address concerns, and comply with law. Relevant information may be provided to service providers handling those functions under appropriate arrangements. Payment information should be provided through the designated secure payment process rather than an ordinary message.
Operational messages may include scheduling, deposit requests, arrival updates, drying or curing instructions, and completion notices. Promotional calls, texts, and emails require consent where applicable and are handled separately; accepting service Terms is not blanket marketing consent.
Tell us if a phone number or email changes. If you opt out of text communications, we will use another agreed channel where reasonably practical. Our separate privacy notice, when provided, describes data practices in more detail. These Terms are not a substitute for a complete privacy policy.
33. Reviews and feedback
You may share truthful reviews, opinions, and feedback about your experience. No provision restricts lawful reviews, imposes a penalty for criticism, or requires transfer of ownership of a review. We welcome direct notice of concerns so we can evaluate them, but contacting us first is not a condition of your right to review or make a lawful complaint.
Nothing requires either party to tolerate threats, harassment, disclosure of another person’s protected private information, or other unlawful conduct. A disagreement about service quality alone is not harassment.
34. Refusal or termination of unsafe work
S3 may refuse or stop work because of unsafe access, concealed hazards, threatening conduct, unlawful instructions, lack of authority, unsuitable conditions, or an inability to perform the agreed service with reasonable care. We will explain the reason when reasonably practical.
If work stops, charges are limited to authorized completed work and any valid, disclosed applicable cancellation or visit charge. Unused payments are refunded or credited as required by the circumstances and law. S3 will not keep payment for unperformed work solely because it elected to terminate for its own convenience.
You may ask us to stop work. We will stop as safely and promptly as practical, explain work already completed, and address the remaining balance and deposit under these Terms. No additional work will be performed merely to increase a disputed charge.
35. Events outside reasonable control
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by an event outside reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disaster, governmental restrictions, utility interruption, fire, or marina closure, except as law provides. The affected party must communicate reasonably and take practical steps to limit disruption.
This provision does not excuse payment for completed authorized services, permit retention of money where a refund is legally required, or eliminate responsibility for a party’s contribution to the loss. If the service cannot be reasonably rescheduled, unused payments will be addressed under the cancellation and refund provisions above.
36. Promotions, discounts, and gift payments
Offers apply only to the stated service, size, dates, and eligibility conditions. Discounts cannot be combined unless the offer permits it. Additional work and size adjustments remain separately chargeable when disclosed and approved. We will not revoke an accepted promotion retroactively merely because the public offer later changes.
Gift certificates, prepaid packages, and memberships require separate terms addressing redemption, expiration where lawful, refund rules, and unused balances. This page alone does not establish an expiration date or forfeiture rule for those products.
37. Dispute resolution, governing law, and venue
If a dispute arises, contact 910-839-5766 and provide enough information for review. We will attempt a practical resolution. Informal discussion does not prevent either party from making an insurance claim, contacting a regulator, using lawful payment-dispute procedures, or seeking timely court relief.
For services contracted with the North Carolina entity identified above, North Carolina law governs to the extent permitted, subject to controlling federal law, potentially applicable maritime law, and mandatory protections of another jurisdiction. For a service supplied by another entity or location, its separately identified terms and governing law must be used.
Where lawful, court proceedings may be brought in a court with jurisdiction in New Hanover County, North Carolina. This provision does not eliminate a consumer’s mandatory venue rights or an otherwise available small-claims forum. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, waive a jury trial, or waive a class action.
The parties retain statutory limitation periods and required procedural rights. Nothing creates a shortened deadline for filing a claim. Each party bears its own legal expenses unless a valid agreement or applicable law authorizes recovery.
38. Mandatory rights, severability, and no waiver
Nothing in these Terms excludes a right, warranty, refund, cancellation right, cause of action, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a mandatory cooling-off period or other cancellation protection applies, S3 will provide required notices and honor it. A website statement does not replace a legally required notice or cancellation form.
If a provision is unenforceable, it is severed to the extent permitted, and the remaining valid provisions continue to apply. This clause does not guarantee that a court will rewrite an invalid provision or preserve an agreement that law requires to be set aside.
A one-time accommodation does not automatically change future bookings. A waiver must be specific and does not waive unrelated rights. These Terms and the accepted service order describe the agreement; fraudulent statements and non-waivable legal duties are not excused by an entire-agreement provision.
39. Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms for future bookings. Each booking is governed by the version presented and accepted at that time, together with approved changes. Material changes to an existing appointment require agreement rather than retroactive website publication.
Questions, cancellations, and service concerns may be directed to 910-839-5766 or the booking channel shown in your confirmation. Current business and contact information is available at https://www.s3detailing.com.
40. Employee safety, respectful conduct, and noninterference
You and persons you control must not threaten, assault, sexually harass, intimidate, or direct discriminatory abuse at S3 staff. You must not handle our chemicals or equipment, disconnect protective devices, climb our access equipment, enter restricted treatment areas, or insist that staff disregard safety procedures. Secure animals and disclose weapons, sharps, unstable structures, hazardous substances, and aggressive behavior that may affect work.
Any technician may pause work and leave an immediately unsafe situation without waiting for management approval. Staff may contact management, emergency services, or law enforcement when reasonably necessary. Work resumes only when S3 determines that it can be performed safely. Good-faith criticism, a request for clarification, or a lawful complaint is not prohibited conduct.
Charges and refunds following termination are governed by Sections 7 and 34 and applicable law; there is no automatic punitive harassment fee. Actual injury or property damage caused by unlawful customer conduct may be pursued through lawful remedies. This section does not shift S3's own safety duties to customers.
41. Staff authority and written changes
Technicians may assess condition, explain approved services, propose documented changes within their authority, and stop unsafe work. A promise to waive a deposit, extend credit, give a refund, guarantee a result, change a warranty, or amend these Terms must be confirmed by an authorized manager in the service record. Customers may ask management to verify a proposed exception before relying on it.
S3 will identify its authorized booking and payment channels. Payments to a staff member's personal account, side agreements, or off-record services are not authorized company transactions unless management expressly approves them. Do not share payment credentials or access codes beyond what the agreed service requires.
This provision does not override applicable agency law, invalidate an agreement S3 has actually authorized or ratified, or excuse misleading representations by staff. S3 will investigate reported unauthorized promises rather than automatically denying responsibility.
42. Contracting entity and company personnel
The service agreement is with the legal entity identified at the beginning of this page. Unless separately and expressly agreed, an owner, member, officer, manager, or employee does not personally guarantee the company's contractual payment, warranty, or performance obligations merely by communicating with you or performing work. Direct service and contract notices to S3's designated channels so management can respond.
The lawful exclusions and procedural protections in these Terms are intended to benefit S3 and its personnel acting within their authorized duties to the extent legally permitted. This does not create immunity from a person's own actionable misconduct, eliminate statutory liability, change employment status, or protect a person from duties the law imposes individually. Proper entity operation and insurance remain separate requirements.
